A life is like a candle,
Ever burning yet
so easy to snuff out,
by accident, by purpose,
Every life is loved by someone,
whether or not they realize it.

I just lost an uncle 2 hours ago.
My mother lost a brother. My grandparents lost a son.
My cousins lost their father, when only less than a month ago, they lost their mother.
It feels weird knowing that come Christmastime (and other family events) I won’t be able to see him up and about, alive, joking around, laughing with everyone. It’s so unreal.
Tuesday he was rushed to the hospital because he had a stroke. In the next few days, he had to undergo a much-needed surgery, but he never made it.
This afternoon he was doing fine.
Then at 10PM, he… died.
Life is so unpredictable.

Indeed it is. And yet I think that’s what makes life beautiful.
I’m sorry for your loss. I can’t say I can relate, but I’m sure it isn’t something easy to go through.
